Toni Marie Maze Wright

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, Toni Marie Maze Wright was called home to her eternal resting place at the age of 70. Toni was born on December 14, 1955, to the late Clarence Maze Sr. and Vinnie Mae Williams. She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a longtime resident of Dallas, Texas. Toni was a proud 1974 graduate of John McDonald High School. She found her calling in healthcare and became a Registered Nurse after earning her nursing degree from Charity School of Nursing in 1993. She later went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. Toni truly had a servant’s heart, demonstrated through more than 30 years of dedication to caring for others. Toni was known for her deep love of family. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother. Her care, warmth, and generosity extended beyond relatives, often turning friends into family. She had a special way of making others feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Toni’s legacy will continue to live on through her devoted husband of 50 years, Roscoe Wright; her loving children, Corey (Shatarrah) Wright and Zandra Helen Richardson; her loyal son-in-law, Marcus Richardson; her cherished grandchildren, Corey Wright II, Auberny Wright, Mason Richardson, and Maxwell Richardson; her brother, Clarence Maze Jr.; her sisters, Katrina (Conny) Horton and Kayniah Maze; her sister-in-law, Gloria Dean Wright; her nieces, Tashica Maze, Britney Maze and Kamri Gordon; her nephews, Clarence Maze III, Conny Horton III, and Darron Maze ; and a host of extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, James Williams; her paternal grandmother, Lillie Hudson; her paternal step-grandfather, Levi Hudson; her maternal grandparents; her brothers, Gary Joseph Maze, Corey Williams, and Kirt Williams; and other aunts, uncles, and family members. Toni’s life exemplified a no-nonsense approach to love, compassion, and service to humanity. Her smile was unforgettable, and her love for family will continue to inspire all who knew her to cherish their loved ones in her absence.
