Ronnie Anthony Cloud, son of the late James Cloud Jr. and Julia (Smith) Cloud was born August 5, 1954 in New Orleans, LA. Ronnie was the youngest of four children. The four siblings were close knit and always cared for each other. They were by his side as he entered his eternal rest. For the past 25 years, he resided in Lacombe, LA until his final departure. Ronnie had a passion for sports, nice cars, trucks, and hats. He was the proud owner of Cloud’s Cement Finishing for 50 plus years. He has always strived for perfection in everything he did. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his good humor, willingness to help others and that Million Dollar Smile. Ronnie was loved by many and was the epitome of strength and determination, which caused him to persevere despite his health challenges. In the eyes of his nieces and nephews, he was considered a true “Legend.” He taught them the value of hard work, helping others, and supporting and showing up for your family. Their bond was Undeniable. His parents, James and Julia Cloud, preceded Ronnie in death. He leaves to cherish his memories: 3 Siblings: James (Sheila) Cloud III, Linda Cloud (Danny), Judy (Cloud) Calloway (Michael); a Faithful Companion of 25 years Emma P. Hartley; His beloved nieces and nephews: Tracy (Morris) Woods, James Calloway (Lauren), Norman (Jami) Ducre III, James Cloud IV, Tremaine Ducre, Jasmine Ducre, Santana Bradford, Jani Ducre, Jasi Roberts, Kingston Woods and Phoenix Calloway. He also leaves to mourn his Bonus Children and Grandchildren: Paula (Tony) Clayton and Tiffany (Jonathon) Victor; and known as “Pawpaw” to Kayle Victor, Cody Victor, Antonio “TJ” Clayton, Kaymbryn, Demi and Khari; 2 Sister-In-Laws, 3 Brothers In-Laws and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend his Funeral Service at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
