Pamela Eloise Causey Gray

Pamela Eloise Causey Gray, 64, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Born January 10, 1959 in Port Sulphur, LA, Pam attended Buras High School. After graduating high school, she moved to New Orleans and went on to engage in an array of postsecondary pursuits, equipping her to serve as a licensed cosmetologist - trained at Moler’s School of Cosmetology, a Certified Nursing Assistant, prepared at the Sidney Collier Campus of Delgado Community College, a Regional Transit Authority Lift driver, a residential health care provider, paraprofessional and substitute teacher. Pam was a devoted follower of Christ and member of Carver Desire Baptist Church, where she served as a Greeter, an active Bible study scholar, and Senior Saint. Pam loved life and enjoyed any activity that involved bringing joy to her family, church family, and friends. Beloved wife of the late Alvin Gray, Pam is the daughter of the late James and Bessie Causey; sister of the late Willie Parker and Tammie Causey-(Amara) Konaté; devoted mother of Tuesday (Glenn) Hatcher, Ciara McIntyre, Regis McIntyre, and Deon Charles, Sr.; doting grandmother of Enoj Dédé, Glenn Hatcher, Jr., Harlem Hatcher, and Ever Amoré Hatcher; Deon Charles, Jr., De’Aija Charles, D’Angel Charles, De’Zion Charles, Demiyahn Charles, De’Vaj Smith-Charles, and De’Avian Smith-Charles. Pam is also survived by brother in-law Mitchell Parker, Jr., 2 nieces, Nikomii (William) Butler and Amira Konaté, and 1 nephew, Gavin (Kricket) Parker, Sr. and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life honoring the late Pamela Causey Gray will be held at Carver Desire Baptist Church, 3301 Montegut Street, New Orleans, LA 70126 on Thursday, January 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor James R. Willis Jr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Carver Desire Baptist, Greater King Solomon, Life Center, Philips Memorial United Methodist, Rock of Ages, Olive Branch, Greater Macedonia Baptist Churches, employees of Plaquemines Parish School System, Summerville At Kenner Assisted Living Center, and Davita Dialysis Centers (Westwego, New Orleans, and Atlanta) are invited to attend.
