Morris Leo Argue Jr.

Morris Leo Argue, Jr. was born to the union of the late Mary Harris of Laurel Hill, LA and the late Morris Argue, Sr. of Woodville, MS in New Orleans, LA on August 14, 1958. Early morning of December 3, 2022, he fell asleep in the arms of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He attended Grammer and Junior High Schools in New Orleans, LA and went on to attend Alcee Fortier High in which he graduated in 1976. Morris went on a few years after and enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served active duty for 13 years. After leaving the Army, Morris was later employed by Kentwood Water Company where he worked as a warehouse and forklift driver for nearly 30 years. Later in life he connected and married his former high school classmate, Lillie Montgomery and they celebrated 22 years of marriage this past May. He acquired a step-daughter Candace Jones to whom he held in highest regard and they shared a special bond throughout the years. Morris was a man of great dignity, honor and strength. He was a very quiet and unassuming man and had a heart of gold for those who knew him. He was a sports enthusiast and could spend hours talking sports statistics with anyone who would listen. Morris also enjoyed going on cruises and vacations to Las Vegas with his wife before the decline of his health. He leaves to cherish his beloved wife, Lillie Montgomery Argue; step-daughter Candace Jones; siblings: Patricia Williams of Raleigh, NC, and Michael Argue of New Orleans, LA; niece Jessica Argue and nephew Malik Argue; brothers-in-law Kevin Montgomery of Pasadena, TX and Sidney Montgomery, Jr. (Alisha) of Hammond, LA. Morris is also survived by four aunts, one uncle and a host of cousins. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at D.W.
