Mack "Casey" Stevenson Jr.

Mack “Casey” Stevenson, Jr., born January 27, 1949 in Rushville, Louisiana, departed this life on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Mack was the son of the late Mack Joseph Stevenson, Sr. of LaGrange, Louisiana and the late Mattie Mason Williams-Stevenson of Rushville, Louisiana, the grandson of the late John Mason of Gretna, Louisiana and the late Samaria Higgins of Rushville, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Samaria Stevenson and Marguerite Stevenson Brooks. He is survived by eleven siblings, Verna Ferguson, Leroy Stevenson (Stella), Lionel Stevenson, Sr. (Dorothy), Anna S. Dobard, Andrew Stevenson, Richard Stevenson, Sr. (Leona), Raymond Stevenson (Carolina), Joann Nevels (Chet), Lois Stevenson, D. Mechell Stevenson-Exler (Mike) and Stephanie Stevenson. Mack’s neices and nephews , C. Dwight Brooks, Raquel B. Hill, the late Louis Bradley, III, Kareem Stevenson, Erika Stevenson, Lionel Stevenson, Jr., Jordan Nevels, Andrea Stevenson, Jonathan Dobard, Joshua Dobard, Micah Thompson, Kylah Exler, Helen Stevenson, Samaria Stevenson, Richard Stevenson, Jr. and a host of great- nieces and great-nephews, cousins and extended family for whom he loved and cherished. A lifelong resident of Rushville (Naomi), Louisiana in Plaquemines Parish, Mack deeply loved his family and valued his friendships. Early in life, he was actively involved in his community and voting drives. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing, hunting, gardening, and attending sporting events. Mack was known for his compassionate nature, his strong will that showed in his never seeing lifes challenges as obstacles, his belief in togetherness and peace was unwavering and spilled over in his whole life. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will be forever in our hearts. In the words of Mack "Now go-ahead on about your business". Rhodes Funeral Home, 1020 Virgil St, Gretna, LA, 70053. Flowers are welcome. The Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Dr. Reverend Joseph A.
