Lillie Mae Francis Cosse’ departed this life for her heavenly home on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the age of 86. Lillie was a resident and native of Dalcour, LA. She leaves to cherish precious memories her loving and devoted children, Darryl (Victoria) and Gerald (Dione) Cosse and Donietha C. Luke; her dedicated grandson, Cody Cosse; bonus children, Willie Kermit (Carol) of Michigan and Christopher Cosse’; siblings, Emma Giron, Aaron Jr. and Joseph Francis; brother-in-law, Wilfred Cosse’, Sr.; bonus sister, Thelma Rainey; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 14 bonus grandchildren; 2 devoted friends, Anna Mae Jiles and the late Iona A. Franklin (Frank, Sr.); God children, Shari Gibson and Baylee Roberson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Aaron Sr. and Emma Burns Francis; former spouse, Kermit “Lex” Cosse’ Jr; daughters, Katherine and Kathleen Francis; bonus children, Cheryl Randle and Gregory Griffin; sister, Henrietta F. Bodden; God children, Shalon Bienemy and Barry Jackson. Relatives and friends of the family, Pastor, officers, and members of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Dalcour, LA, and all neighboring churches; employees of the former Delta Bank and Trust, Co., Plaquemines Port Authority, PROWN, and East Jefferson General Hospital, Plaquemine Parish Sheriff Dept., and CMMBA are invited to attend A Musical and Celebration at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life honoring Sis. Cosse’ will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 111 Bethlehem St, Dalcour, LA, on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM, Rev. Dr. Michael W. Jiles, Sr., Officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment: Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, 258 Bertrandville Rd., Bertrandville, LA. Arrangements by D.W.
