Keith Albert DeMouy Sr.

Keith Albert DeMouy Sr. was born on November 23, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of Joseph and Genevieve DeMouy. The youngest of three children, he entered into eternal rest on Saturday June 17, 2023. Keith departed this life for a better home in glory at age 71. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Coignet DeMouy, his mother Genevieve Bousqueto DeMouy, his brother Francis (“Frank”) DeMouy, Sr., and nephew Francis (“Franco”) DeMouy, Jr. Keith is survived by his wife of 51 years Regina Levy DeMouy, his sons Keith Albert DeMouy, Jr., and Kevin Austin DeMouy, daughter-in-law Shervonda Williams-DeMouy, sister Jacqueline (“Jackie”) DeMouy, nephew Fabian Taylor, Sr., nieces Ashley DeMouy and Laurin DeMouy, sisters-in-law Linda Brown, Cecelia Williams, and Patricia DeMouy, brothers-in-law Ronald Bell, and Austin Levy, and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends. A resident of New Orleans, Louisiana for many years, Keith attended Corpus Christi Elementary School, St. Augustine High School of New Orleans, and Southern University of New Orleans. After meeting his wife, Regina, they entered into holy matrimony where their union was blessed with two children, Keith Albert DeMouy, Jr. and Kevin Austin DeMouy. A loving husband and father, Keith was always a strong provider for his family. Keith worked in the auto industry for over 36 years before his retirement. During his retirement years, Keith enjoyed spending time with his family, watching TV, gardening, and traveling. Keith was a doting and supporting father to his sons Keith Jr. and Kevin. He also had a great love for cooking, watching sports, listening to music, and reading the latest news on his laptop. He leaves a legacy of love and strength that will be forever remembered. Keith will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his memory will last forever. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of Corpus Christi Catholic Church are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Ave. New Orleans, LA 70116 on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 10:00 am.
