Janice Anderson Ellis Departed This Life On May 2, 2023, At The Age Of 82 One Day Shy Of Her 83rd Birthday. She Was The Oldest Of Nine Children Born To The Union Of Alvin Alfred Anderson Sr. And Missionary Lorena Branch Anderson. She Leaves To Mourn Her Passing Sisters: Sheila A. London, Lorene A. Knight, Rhea A. White, Mary Ellen A. Francis And One Brother Jimmie Anderson. She Was Preceded In Death By Her Parents, Her Sister Joan A. Richard, 2 Brothers - Alvin A. Anderson, Jr. And Mark L. Anderson, Sisters-In-Love: Ruby J. Anderson And Linda S. Anderson She Is Also Survived By Her Maternal Aunt, Elvira O’connor Gibson, Her Sister-In-Love, Cathy W. Anderson, 3 Godchildren - Cade J. London Iv, Kodi A. Lowe, Merlin V. Brown, Iii And A Host Of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, And Lifelong Friends. Janice Was Educated In The New Orleans Public Schools System. She Was Also A Graduate Of Southern University At New Orleans Where She Earned A Bachelor Of Science Degree. She Was A Retired Employee Of The U.S. Veterans’ Administration (Dept. Of Veterans’ Affairs) Where She Served As A Claims Adjudicator. Her Lifelong Passion Was Singing Gospel Music. She Was A Member Of The Gospel Music Workshop Of America In Its Inaugural Years In The Early Seventies Where She Served As Treasurer Of The Local Chapter. She Sang In Local Churches And In Mass Choir Competitions. The Halmarks Of Her Life Were The Love Of Family, Serving The Needy And Showing The Love Of Christ To Everyone She Encountered. Relatives And Friends Of The Family, Members Of The 8th Dimension S & P Club, Pastors And Designees Of Christian Unity Baptist Church, Beth Eden Baptist Church – Oakland, Ca, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, Household Of Faith Family Worship Church International, Faith And Glory Baptist Church, Amazing Grace Church Of Deliverance – Gonzales, La, And House Of Grace Ministries Baton Rouge, La Are Invited To Attend The Funeral Service.
