Glenn Kevin Bell

Glenn Kevin Bell was born on September 20, 1962, to Gloria Bell Allen and Raymond Bell Senior in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was formerly married to Rhoda Patricia Grey. He was a devoted and loving father to Glenn Michael Alexander Bell and Carolyn Grey Bell and a grandfather to David and Princeton Patrick. He unexpectedly passed away on September 10, 2024, from a brief illness. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in New Orleans in the class of 1981 and moved to California shortly after. He attended and worked at East Los Angeles College. Before unexpectedly passing, Glenn worked as an HVAC technician for Tower Jazz Semiconductor, formerly Rockwell, in Newport, California, for over 30 years. He kept a home with lovely neighbors in Running Springs, where he commuted to Rim of the World High School for work. Glenn was proud to have lived in Tacoma and Seattle, Washington, for a few years and to work for Boeing Aerospace Company and the University of Seattle. He eventually returned to Loma Linda, CA, and then settled in Costa Mesa to be closer to his final workplace in Newport, CA. Glenn always enjoyed walking or bike riding around his neighborhood after eating dinner. He was selfless in gifting and assisting his community. He kept his faith in God and practiced his beliefs in every relationship. Glenn was determined to build lasting memories with the family, especially his sister, daughter and son-in-law Diana and Tina Bell and David Patrick. He enjoyed sharing his vast knowledge and hobbies with friends from all walks of life. He was also greatly concerned for their well-being and safety, surpassing his immediate needs. Glenn’s brilliance and old-fashioned soul will be missed from Midcoast Maine to SoCal California. Glenn is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Sharon Bell. Glenn is survived by his brothers and sisters Raymond Bell Junior, Kenneth Bell Senior, Brenda Hardy, Carolyn Collins, Stephanie Allen, and many nieces, nephews, and their children. All friends and family members are invited to the service and celebration of life at First Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, October 5, 2024, beginning at 10:00 for final viewing and 11 a.m. for service. Pastor Antoine R. Jacobs will be officiating. First Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church is at 2507 Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA.
