Dymond Thomas III

Dymond Thomas III brought complete joy when he entered this world on April 16, 1947 to the loving parents Dymond Thomas, Jr. and Beaulah E. Thomas in New Orleans, La at Charity Hospital. On January 15, 2024, Brother Thomas fulfilled his purpose and transitioned. Brother Thomas attended Rosenwood School in Phoenix, went to Job Corp, receiving his GED and trade. Brother Dymond is married to Patricia Ann Thomas, to their union were born two sons, Terrence Owen Thomas (Shantel) and Brandon Thomas, Markel Williams (Jamie), Delton Collins (Shanae). Brother Thomas was baptized at the age of 10 years old on the 3rd Sunday in 1957. His favorite scripture is Psalm 40 verses 1-5 and his favorite song is “Satisfied with Jesus”. Brother Dymond was deckhand at Electoral Coal Transfer for 29 ½ years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed coaching baseball. He was Head Coach of Mighty Phoenix Swinger Girls Softball Team, Phoenix Sun’s Men’s Baseball Team. He was a fixture in Eastbank Rec Department. He also loved photography and videography as he directed and produced a movie called “The Big Payback”. He was the 1st of 17 men to complete the training to become a volunteer Fire Fighters at the PVFD in 1984. Brother Dymond is the Brother of Rev. Eddie N. Thomas (Theresa). Lloyd Thomas, Floyd Thomas (LaToya), Victoria Ancar (Carl), Anna M. Thomas and the late Rollane Ragas, Anna Bell Taylor, Yvonne Bienemy and Lawrence Thomas; nephew of Louise Barthelemy (Late Thomas), Carrie Miller (Late Freddie), and the late Henry Thomas, Dorthy T. Stone (Jessie), Edith T. Bruce (Lucien), and Pearly T. Johnson (George); brother- in – law of Elnora Duplessis, Deborah Isidore (Late Henry), Regina Duplessis, Jennifer Hall (Larry), Rev. Simone Franklin (Lionel), Aruvina Duplessis, Antoine Duplessis (Stephanie), and Reginald Duplessis; Grandfather of Terrence Barthemy, Donyea, Kennedy, Aubury, Baylie, DaSani, DeVyne and Dallas Thomas, Kelise Ancar, Alexis and Angelina Williams, Annalise Machado, Asianae Gibson, Shane and Shania Collins and 5 great grandchildren; Godfather of Andre Simmonton and Trevino Moliere, and a host of other relatives and friends of the family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of life Service at Zion Travelers Baptist Church, 12661 Hwy 15 Braithwaite, La 70040 on Saturday, January 27, 2024 for 11:00am.
