Doralinda T. Zeno

Doralinda T. Zeno was born on October 8, 1927, to Beaulah and Winley Zeno in Wallace, LA. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and went on to Straight Business School where she studied to become a Medical Records Technician. In her youth, she attended Holy Ghost Catholic Church, and later in life she was a member of St. Francis DeSalles. On May 7, 2021, Doralinda peacefully departed this life and went on to eternal rest. Doralinda was the proud mother of two boys, Jerome and Brian Zeno. Though they never married, most of her life was spent loving Earl S. Harris. She was employed by Public Health Service and later retired from New Orleans Adolescent Hospital. Doralinda was full of life and loved to spend time with her family on holidays and special occasions. She loved to cook and everyone looked forward to a bowl of her gumbo with a side of her potato salad. Like any true New Orleanian, she was a die hard Saints fan and season ticket holder. If there was a home game, she could always be found in the dome. When the Saints season was done, she moved on to her favorite Mardi Gras tradition of riding in the Zulu parade as a member of the Induna tribe. Doralinda was a loving grandmother and spent her weekends with her granddaughters, Brandy and Marissa. She loved shopping and made sure they always went home with a least one thing. Doralinda leaves to cherish her memory; her sister Mercedes Z. Jackson, her two sons, Brian C. Zeno (Evelyn H. Zeno) and Jerome S. Zeno (Sherlita Hicks), granddaughters Brandy L. Wright (Andre Wright) and Marissa D. Zeno, great grandson Everett Wright, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by; her brothers Clifford, Elmo, and Winley Zeno and her sisters, Agnes Williams and Audrey M. Lewis. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral service honoring the life of Ms. Doralinda T. Zeno on Saturday May 15, 2021 at Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue St., New Orleans, LA 70125 at 1:00pm. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm.
