Craig Steven Adams

Craig Steven Adams was born on April 14, 1981, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He entered his eternal rest surrounded by family on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at East Jefferson General Hospital. Son of Kim-Adams Hall (Chevin) and Craig Jacquot. Beloved husband of Alecia Armstead Adams, devoted father of Chelsea Alexis Adams, and cousin Zirrah Tobias. Grandparents Dorothy and Gerald Jacquot. He also leaves to mourn sisters Shantell Toney (Bernell), Shantell Bogan and Marva Turner, brothers Corey Day and Craig Turner, step-sister Chevelle Louis (Jurand), and a host of nieces and nephews. Nephew of Murphy Williams (Evelyn), Elise Jacquot, and Kevin Jacquot. Dolores Chambers, grandmother-in-law, and Wanda Chambers Armstead mother-in-law, and Wayne Armstead, father-in-law. Godparents Yvette Robinson, Patricia Wise, and Gerad Hunter, close cousins Tatianna Myles and Kim Lee, Sr., many dear cousins, and adopted grandmother Lottie Irving-Nelson. He will be missed dearly by godchildren Bennisha Russel, Warnell Carmouche, Jr., Brandon Jackson, Jerome Lewis, Jr., great-aunts Eugenia Foster Adams, Delores Shields, and Rita Lee, other relatives, "the Magnolia Family" community, and loyal friends. Predeceasing him in death, his grandparents, Ruby and Lawrence Adams, Jr., great-grandparents Mary Ruffin Adams and Lawrence Adams, Sr., Annie Mitchell and Harrison Stinson, and aunt Marva Jacquot, uncles Marlon Jacquot and Gerald Jacquot, great-uncle George Adams, and adopted brother Darrell Davis. Devoted to his family, Craig loved second-line parades, traveling, and outdoor activities. He was an avid Saints fan. Affectionally known to his friends as "Biggie," Craig was a fun-loving and adventurous individual who enjoyed life. His, however, was a life ended too soon, a spirit transcended. Family, friends, the Magnolia Family community, Grayline Tours New Orleans, the Visiting Angels, the Buck Jumpers Traveling Club, and all second line Social and Pleasure clubs are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 2015 Louisiana Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70115 on Saturday, May 22, 2021.
