Terry Lee Briggs went on an eternal voyage to be with his Lord and Savior on March 6, 2022, from labor to reward. He was 56 years old. He was the outstanding husband to Dorian Favorite Briggs. He was preceded in death by his mother Maggie Briggs and his father Stewart Osborn, his grandparents Leroy and Maude Stevenson, his brother Dave Briggs, and his son Willie Tucker. He is survived by his loving wife Dorian Briggs, children: Shaina Briggs, Christian Favorite (Erin), Megan Briggs, Darion Briggs (Jireh), and Terrell Schnyder, grandchildren: Daniel Collins, Malik Briggs, Mathis Favorite, Everly Favorite, and Nola Briggs (soon to arrive), adopted son in law to Karen Tucker, Special friend to Joy {Flo} Samuels, in-laws: Darrell Smith, Alvis Favorite III (Kim), Juanita Favorite, Jon Favorite, Terry Favorite (Catina). And God mother, Marie Dunomes. He accepted the Lord at an early age under Pastor Freddie Dunn. He was a graduate of Carter G. Woodson Jr, High School and John McDonough Sr. High School c/o 83’ where he played in the bands. He entered the hotel restaurant industry at the age of sixteen, working at the Fairmont Hotel. He later became an employee of the Royal Sonesta Hotel, Loews, and Omni Hotels where he was promoted to banquet captain and worked in the industry for more than forty years. He was the owner of BRI Inc. and Co-Owner of Briggs & Briggs Travel. Relatives and friends also pastors, officers, and members of the following churches: City of Love Church, Bickham Chapel A.M.E. Zion, The Roosevelt Hotel, Royal Sonesta Hotel, Lowes Hotel, Omni Hotel, Pizza Hut (Independence), P.A.M / Rehab Hospital of Covington and Hammond, LSU Lallie Kemp Medical Center, Tangipahoa Parish School System, Renew, Sodexo, and Community Health are invited to attend the Homegoing Service at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 1:00PM. Visitation will be held at 12:00PM. Interment: Private. Officiant: Rev.
