TAMECO MACHELLE CURTIS Sunrise June 7, 1979 – Sunset June 29, 2023 Beloved daughter of Julie Curtis and the late Kenneth Vicks was born on June 7, 1979. She answered God’s call and entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2023. Tameco was educated in the Orleans Parish School System. Tameco knew at an early age she had a calling on her life. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized under the leadership of Paul S. Morton of Greater St. Stephen Church. On November 30, 1997 God blessed Tameco with a son William Curits whom she loved dearly. In 2003 she met the love of her life Brian K. Hayes whom she married in 2010. They looked to welcome their beautiful baby girl the following year, but God had another plan. Tameco was unique in her own right. She was a “Jill” of all trades. She could do whatever she put her mind to. She loved crafting, planning parties, baking and helping anyone in need. Anyone who knew her could call on her and she would be there with whatever you needed. Tameco found peace in walking daily and spending time in her word. Tameco believed that God heard and answered her prayers by giving her the desires of her heart. In 2021 she moved to Bogalusa where she opened her very own coffee shop BREWING BEANS COFFEE. If you ever visited there, you felt welcomed and I’m sure she shared her faith with you. During her time in her new city she attended Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Marcus Rosa. Tameco leaves to cherish her memories, her mother and best friend Julie. Her loving son William, two brothers Maurice (MaKethia), and Cedric. Her (Gemini Twin)Aunt Barbarba, three uncles Charlie, Lavelle and Ray. Her nieces MaKeira, Celbi and Brooklyn and one nephew Micah. Her in-laws Rita, Charles and April and a host of cousins, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Brian K. Hayes, their daughter Bryilan K. Hayes. Her father Kenneth Vicks, sister Kendra Curtis, grandparents Willie Mae and Burnice Curtis, two uncles, one nephew and one brother-in-law. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Rhodes Chapel, 3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, LA 70125 on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 10:00 am.
