Stanford Marlo Sullen Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Stanford Marlo Sullen, age 50, died on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 8:10 a.m. at his home in Canton, Georgia. As a child, he lived in Belle Chasse (Oakville), Louisiana. Prior to Hurricane Katrina, he resided in New Orleans, Louisiana. Stanford is the son of Arnolie Sanders III and Shirley Sullen; husband of Dr. Michelle Francis-Sullen; father of DaVonte' Cortes Jeanmarie and Mariah Sullen; brother of Demetrius Sanders and Charalda Sullen; son-in-law of Louis R. Francis Sr. and Sylvia J. Franklin; brother-in-law of Louis R. Francis Jr.; nephew of Odele Sullen, Isabel S. Green, Ora Lee Mosely (Alvin Sr.), and Hughes Sanders (Aunderlia); and godchild of Rose Sanders Bell. He is also survived by other family and friends, including his best friend Kirk Kohlman, his 2 godchildren Lyneisha Green and Taylor Kohlman; his comrade Ron Green, and his mentor Robert Jordan. Stanford was preceded in death by his grandparents Arnolie and Leander Dobard Sanders Jr. and Hurite and Odele Dearborne Sullen, his stepmother Betty Black Sanders, his brother Torranno Sanders, his cousin Alvin Mosley Jr., and his grandparents in-law Herbert and Emelda Fritz Jeanmarie; as well as other dearly departed family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at D. W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70125, on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM.
