Schelaine Robair Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Schelaine Robair, age 68, passed away on July 12, 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born on November 12, 1953 to the parents of James D. and Rose Nell Harris, Sr. She leaves to mourn her husband, Alexander Robair; two daughters, Meco Myer (Lawrence) and Alexandera Robair; her grandchildren, who affectionately called her MawMaw, Tremecha Robair, Ry’an Francois, Kenneth Cooper Jr., Laila Myer, Lawrence “Manny” Myer III and Anina Johnson; her great grandchildren, that brought her joy, Tremiah Baker, Jenyla Baker and Davine Dunnaway. She is survived by her 2 sisters, Mary Nell Jenkins (Rodise Sr.), Melody (Michael); 2 brothers, Arthur and Bernard (Debra), nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, James D. “Steppa” Harris, Sr. and Rose Nell Harris; three brothers, James D. Harris, Jr., Bernell Harris and Henry Harris and one sister, JoAnn Backburn. Schelaine was educated in the Orleans Parish School System. She was employed as a private sitter and with the Orleans Parish Schools and East Baton Rouge Schools. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 411 N. Rampart Street, NOLA 70112 on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 for 10:00 am.
