Sgt. Robert (Bob) Leroy Wright, Sr. was born on May 24, 1949 and departed this life on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at V. A.’s Azalea House, after a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Jimmie Wright, Sr. and Bertha Holloway Wright Thomas. He is the father of: Roderick L. Wright, Sr., (Chenell), Tralyn Wright-Williams, Sean T. Wright, Sr. (Cherie), Cedric Wright (Shalita) and Robert L. Wright, Jr. He is the grandfather of: Ebony Evans, Roderick L. Wright, Jr., Shalyn Williams, Sean T. Wright, Jr., Shane C. Wright, Trevon Wright, Tatiyuna D. Seabrum, Angel B. Wright and Asia L. Wright. His great grandchildren are: DeShawn Evans, Truth Torregano, Daniel Augustin, Dash Augustin, Braylin Bailey, Kingston Wright and London A. Conyers. His siblings are: Georgiana (Ann) B. Weathersby (L. C.), Willie M. McDowell (Robert-deceased), Jimmie Wright, Jr., Bertha W. Howard (Lawrence), Stanley Wright (deceased), Mikal Thomas (Mable), Don Thomas (Geraldine) and Earl Thomas, Jr. (Gwendolyn-deceased) and Paulette Toussant (deceased). He is also survived by his remaining aunts, Bessie Hughes and Marilyn Hughes, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Family, friends, doctors and nurses at Azalea House, members of Free Mission B. C., New Light B. C., Abundant Life Ministry, American Legion Post 438, Patriot Guard Riders and United Veterans League (Houma) are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, July 16, 2021 at New Light B.
