Richard Millet Jr., born and raised in New Orleans LA., was called home into eternal life at the age of 95 on July 2, 2022. He entered the world on January 10, 1927 to his parents, Harriet and Richard Millet Sr. He was the first born of their 6 kids. He attended Gilbert Academy where he studied Carpentry and Music. After, he served in the United States Navy. He became a devoted husband and outstanding father of 6 kids; 3 sons and 3 daughters. He is preceded in death by his parents; his Wife, Eva Harris Millet; daughter, Irene Millet; son, Richard Millet lll, 4 siblings, 3 brothers, Hubert, Mack, Melvin and sister, Lulamae; surviving family, brother, Nolan Millet and sister in law, Una Millet; his children, Verlie Webster, son-in-law, (Nathan Webster); Randolph Millet, daughter-in-law, (Debra Millet); Veronica Smith, son-in-law (Eddie Smith lll); Michael Millet Sr. daughter-in-law, (Shelia Millet) and daughter-in-law (Bythelda Millet), 13 grandkids, Rita Williams, Latanya Gant, John Williams, Leslie Roundtree, Irene Roundtree, Randolph Millet Jr., Byron Millet, Latrice Galaforo, Pamela Favorite, Monique Millet, Shenita Smith, Michael Millet Jr. and Montel Millet; 33 great grandkids and 23 great, great grandkids and a host of family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 10:00 am.
