Nolan Alton Hills Sr

Nolan Alton Hills, Sr., peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 1, 2022, at Slidell Memorial Hospital. He was born June 29, 1950 to the union the late Theophilus Hills and the late Helen Picquet Hills. He was the husband of the late Valerie Green Hills, and the father of Jonathan Green, Sherell Green, Nolan Hills, Jr. (Tasha), Terrell Green (Cheree), Nola Green Bennett (Nathaniel), and the late Derreck and D’Ebony Hills. He was like a father to Anetra Richards. He was the grandfather of 29 and the great-grandfather of 3. He was the brother of: Vincent Hills, Sr. (Shelia), Justin Hills (Sheryl), Gail Hills Thompson (Donald) and the late Lester and Blunston Hills. He was the brother in law of Catherine Richards, Carolyn Richards, Mary Richards Ferdinand Richards, David Richards, Tommy Green and Aaron Green, Jr. He was the Godfather of Brittany Richards, Asianna Richards and Sierra Morgan. He shared a special bond and lasting friendship with Hurest Morgan, Michael Rucker, Bobby Tucker, Chris Detwiller, Burnell Williams, Tommy Hawk, Sr. and Kendrick Aisola. Nolan accepted Christ and was baptized by the late Rev. George Robinson, Jr, at an early age. He was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of his Pastor and friend, Rev., Dr. Michael W. Jiles, Sr. He was employed by Murphy Trucking and Detwiller Trucking as a driver. He leaves to cherish his memories his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, a host of nieces, nephews, family members, friends and his Bethlehem family. Nolan will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 111 Bethlehem Lane, Braithwaite, LA on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM until service time.
