Natalie Clemons Taylor

Dr. Natalie Clemons Taylor answered the Master’s call on May 19, 2022. Natalie was predeceased by: Husband: US Marine Pastor Joseph E. Taylor and Parents: Nathaniel H. Clemons and Louise H. Clemons. Natalie leaves to cherish fond memories: Son: Shane N. Dumas. Daughter: Natasha D. Jackson (Lafunzo, Sr.) Sisters: Beverly C. Booker, Adrian C. Norman (Richard, Sr.), and Andrea C. Smith, Grandchildren: Shane Webber, Lafunzo Jackson, Jr., Shawn Dumas, Zoey Jackson, Aniya Jackson, Tyra Jackson, and Skye Dumas, Nieces: Jewdeia Olmsted (Eric) and Antoinya Stewart (Jacoby), Nephews: Richard Norman, Jr. (Kimberly) and Rian Norman, and a host of dear family and friends. Dr. Taylor began her formal education in the Orleans Parish School Board System and graduated from Xavier Preparatory High School, New Orleans, LA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Mary’s Dominican College, New Orleans, LA, Master of Education from Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond, LA, Doctor of Theology with course work from Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans, LA. She had a zest for learning and took courses at various colleges, including Tulane University. She also received numerous certifications during her tenure. Dr. Taylor received her Ministerial License through ForEverGreen Ministries School of Counseling. During decades in the School System as an Administrator and Educator, Dr. Taylor touched the lives of countless adults and young people. Her ability to make others thirsty for knowledge was second to none. Many of the lives she affected have become successful, productive, and accomplished adults. Natalie was resourceful and creative. Her ambition opened numerous doors and opportunities. Dr. Natalie C. Taylor excelled in every position for which she was certified including Educator, Child Search Coordinator, Administrator, Supervisor of Student Teaching, and Supervisor of Child Welfare Attendance. Dr. Taylor’s life was anchored by her love for God, her parents, children, grandchildren, and siblings. Her favorite hobby was reading the Bible and motivational materials. Because of her enduring love, faith, and trust in God, her call to the ministry was no surprise. Dr. Natalie C. Taylor was an ordained minister and supporter of all things related to ministry. She loved spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and traveled near and far to do so. She remained Pastor and Executive Producer for Rivers of Living Water Television Ministry-NOATV, until the day she answered God’s call, saying servant of God, well done. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Grace Baptist Church, 630 Richland Ave. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Viewing begins at 11:00 a.m. with a celebration of life service following at 12 o’clock noon. Private burial will be in Zachary, Louisiana at a later date. Arrangements by D.W.
