Jonathan Lee Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jonathan Lee, Jr of Avondale, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the age of 81 at his home. The oldest child of Jonathan Lee, Sr. and Rosalie Benoit, he is a graduate of Booker T Washington High School, New Orleans, class of 1958. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1960. Upon completion of his enlistment he returned to New Orleans where he met and married Eunice Harris. He went on to work for the United States Postal Service and later Avondale Industries where he worked until his retirement in 2003. He was a blessing and a light to all he met, hard worker, and generous husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply and terribly missed. He is survived by his loving wife Eunice of 57 years, his son Anthony Hawkins (Kimmathy) of Palm Beach County Florida, his daughters Rosa Marie Larrieu (Vincent) Harvey, Louisiana, Michelle Richardson (Bryan) of Marrero, Louisiana, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 3512 US-90, Avondale, Louisiana, 70094. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until 12:00 pm followed by funeral services at 12:00 pm. Due to COVID-19 social distancing is strongly encouraged and masks will be required.
