JoAnn Crawford Jones, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the age of 66. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 27, 1955 to Lawrence and Mary "Redo" Crawford. She now reunites with her parents, her husband (Charles Earl Jones, Sr.), children Charles and Sentell , and her brothers and sisters (Doris, James, Darryl, Vincent, and Monica), JoAnn is survived by her children: Trina (Ken) West, Nick (Nicole) West of Atlanta, GA, Terry (Monesha) West, Asia (Melvin) Jones-Williams; Siblings Sandra, Lawrence, Annie Mae, Nathaniel, Claudette, Urban and Ronald Crawford, Sarah Steele, and one aunt, Celeste Ruffin. Eight grandchildren (Jivonne, Kendall, Kendrick, Nick, Nicolette, Terry, Terrence, Melvin, Kimberly and Samyri), 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. JoAnn loved all her family. She had a special bond with Michelle Jackson and Nathaniel Crawford, Jr. JoAnn’s was one of the nicest, kindest, sweetest fun-loving people most of us will ever know. Her love and presence will be missed greatly. There is peace knowing she is in the arms of our Heavenly father. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at University and Our Lady of the Lake Hospitals for the care provided. Especially Dr. Safa and Nurse Nahalia. Relatives, friends of the family, Pastors and members of New Home Ministries, and employees of Zatarain’s Company are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Rhodes Funeral Home, 3393 Washington Ave on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Attendance is limited and everyone is required to adhere to all restrictions. You must wear a face mask at all times and practice social distancing.
