Ja’mere Melki Alfred was born November 14, 2006, and departed this life December 29, 2020 at the age of 14. Son of John Alfred and LaRicha Rousell. Grandson of Shelia Wallen Heard, Debra Alfred, Bishop Van and Dorothy Rousell, Irvin Clemons, Jacquelyn Lawson and the late John Harris. Brother of Jared Johnson, Jaron Williams, Jalen Alfred and Taylor Pruitt. Bonus Brother of JoHintz Wilson, Godson of Joseph Maurice, Clara Aitch, Scott and Rosalyn Watts. Ja’mere is preceded in death by: Great Great Grandparents, Joseph and Carol Wallen, Bishop Rudolph and Amy Rousell and Beverly Horton. Great Aunts, Lydia Rousell, Rebecca McCant and Uncle, Robert McCant. Surrogate Grandmothers, Goldie Cummings and Antionette Hankton. Ja’mere is also survived by a village of aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives are invited to attend private Funeral Services at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave., N.O., LA., on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10:00 am. Public Visitation 9:00 am – 10:00 am.
