Florence Durell (Flossie) entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Ochsner Baptist Hospital. Daughter of the late Mildred Branick Dickey, Sister of Joseph (Karen) Brock, Jr., and the late Oliver Bailey, Sr. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also Priest and Parishioners of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Pastor, Officers and members of Star of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and Praise, Healing and Deliverance Ministries; members of the New Orleans Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., employees of New Orleans Public Schools, NORD, Walter L. Cohen HS Alumni, the Walter L. Cohen Class of 1960, and the Grambling State University Alumni are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 7200 Crowder Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Father Raphael Kasele, FMH officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Due to COVID restrictions, masks are required for all in attendance.
