Erskine Anthony Francis Sr

Erskine Anthony Francis Sr. departed his life peacefully with loved ones at his side on Friday, January 1, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born on May 18, 1942 in New Orleans, LA. to Octave Joseph Francis Sr. and Leontine Smith Francis who he now rejoins. By his passing, he is also reunited with his late wife, Cordia Allen Francis, his son Phillip M. Francis and his brothers Ronald J. Francis (Connie) & Joseph J. Francis Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Leslie Francis Clark, Erskine A. Francis Jr. (Aiesha), Marcus A. Francis (Kim); grandchildren, Eric Francis Sr., Phillip McCadney, Vincent Foxworth, Madison Clark, Destin Francis, Destin’e Francis, Markiya Francis, Meagan Francis, Miquel Hernandez and Joshua Francis (deceased); siblings, Octave J. Francis Sr. (Betty-deceased), Sybil F. Martin (Raymond), Randolph A. Francis (Adrian), Cynthia F. Rush, Leonetta F. Haten, Elaine F. Miller (Brian), Karen F. Chairs (Larry) and Thaddeus Francis Sr. (Shirl); he also leaves behind a host of great grand-children, nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends. Erskine was a long-time professional roofer & the owner of Francis Roofing and Construction. He lived a full life and his greatest joy was his family. He enjoyed simple pleasures; antiquing, watching sports, boxing & cowboy movies, taking pictures, building/welding projects and riding his Kawasaki. His loving spirit & generous nature endeared him to many. He was a strong, caring, kind, funny, hard-working, thoughtful, sincere and genuine man. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastors, Officers and Members of True Vine Baptist Church are invited to attend the funeral service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at True Vine Baptist Church, 2008 Marigny St, New Orleans. Rev. Jeanjacques officiating. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (face masks are required).
