A Life Well Lived Elaine Still Sims transitioned into eternal life surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the age of 81. Elaine is reunited in heaven with her husband of 56 years, Noah Sims, her father Frank A Still, her mother Mildred Still, her brother Woodrow A Still, Sr, 3 sisters, Marilyn Ross, Althea Still, and Patricia Gaines, 2 brothers in law Dalton Alverez and Alfred Gaines, grandsons Joseph Sims and Giavanni “Gee” Still. Elaine’s memories will be cherished by her children Derek A. Still, Sr (Lindsey Still), Gerrie A. Sims, Sr (Louise Joseph), Patrick J. Sims, Sr (Carolan Sims), Kim Sims Caldwell (William Caldwell), Lawrence F. Sims and adopted by love, Cumeico De’Brick, her 12 grandchildren, Taneesha, Derek Jr, Miles, Gerrie Jr, Mark, Patrick Jr, D’mante, Justin, Jasmine, LaChaune, Tia, Preston, and 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends of the family. Elaine was not a woman of many words, but she demonstrated her love for her family by showing them support and believing they could accomplish anything in life. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader and always encouraged them to pursue their dreams. She was truly dedicated and committed to her family. Elaine enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren sitting around talking about good times and sharing good laughs. Our Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Nanny, Auntie…will truly be missed. We will forever cherish her memories and keep her spirit close to our hearts.
