Clarence CJ Jackson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Clarence “CJ” Jackson was born on December 4, 1959. He departed this earthly life on Monday, July 11, 2022 and stepped across the threshold into his heavenly home. Clarence was the fourth child born to George “Pat” Jackson and Venetia Brown Jackson. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Clarence was baptized on August 29, 1971 at the Greater St. Peter Baptist Church in New Roads, LA. He graduated from Rosenwald High School in 1977. Clarence was the best Roofer in the New Orleans and Westbank area. He was a man who took great pride in his work and did not mind telling you the truth. He leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life Avis Marie Craig Jackson, his daughter, Shantey (David) McCathy, three step-daughters Arielle (Jory) Jenkins, Michelle Miller, and Markeish Craig, two sisters Shirley Rodney and Patricia Jackson, one brother George Jackson Jr., mother-in-law Mary Lee Duckett, six sisters-in-law Pamela (Ryan) Lyons, April (Bruce) Jones, Nicole Brown, Ulanda (Cornell) Andrews, Kisha Craig, Stacy (Edwin) Wilkins, and five brothers-in-law Anthony(Rita) Craig, Furnell (Lenise) Craig, Henry Craig, Nathan Craig, Robert Campbell, two grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren. He also leaves behind aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents George and Venetia Jackson, one brother Robert Lee Jackson, father-in-law Robert Craig, brother-in-law Darrell Wayne Brown, and step son-in-law Dontrell Miller Sr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with livestreaming set to begin @ 9:45 am by visiting www.facebook.com/D.W.RhodesFuneralHome/live. Everyone in attendance must wear a mask.
