Mr. Charles Ray Ulmer, Sr. was born in Columbia, Mississippi on September 13th, 1939 to the late Mr. Ceasar Ulmer and Mrs. Nolia Johnson Ulmer. Charles Ray passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Charles Ray will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, companion, father, and distinguished owner of CC&D Concrete for over 50 years. Charles Ray was the cherished companion of Dolores Perkins. Loving father of five children: Janice Ulmer, Joan Ulmer, LaQueena (Jack Miller Jr.) McGlothurn Miller, Charles Ray Ulmer Jr., and Derrick Ulmer. Proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren: Raymond Ulmer, Raquel (Jason) Ulmer-Bell, Kenneth Cyres, Kamryn Edwards, Kaira Edwards, Antonio D. Mahogany Sr, Richard A Fultz III, Paulette McFarland-Diggs (Quincy), Destiny (Edward) McFarland-Lewis, Roderick McFarland, Marcel McFarland, Noel McFarland and Aisha McGee. Great-grandfather of twenty-one great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild Ka-marlii Vonner. Brother of Lieutenant Ulmer, and Gertie Patterson. Further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Cesar Ulmer and Mrs. Nolia Johnson Ulmer; beloved wife, Evelyn Denise Ulmer, three children Eric Ulmer, Tammy McFarland, and Kevin McFarland, grandsons Melvin R. Noah Sr., Joshua McFarland, Eric Reo Ulmer, and Derrick Reo Ulmer, four sisters, Mary Smith, Butha (Eddie) Trimble, Mrs. Erma Lois Ulmer-May and Mrs. Jessie Mae Ulmer-Andrews; four brothers: Artis G. Ulmer, Isaiah (Dessie Lee) Ulmer, Mr. Wesley Ceasar Ulmer and Mr. James Earl Ulmer; one sister-in-law: Mrs. Shirley Ulmer and three brothers-in-laws, Mr. Cleophus Smith, Sr., Mr. Harold Patterson, and Mr. Otha Ray May, Sr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service of Mr. Charles Ulmer Sr. at 9:00 AM on December 28, 2021 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church 2428 Flood St. New Orleans, La. 70117 Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM Final resting place Bethlehem M B Church Cemetery, 272 Darbun Road Kokomo, Ms. 39643 Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to D.
