Chanel DeMolle Miles

Chanel DeMolle Miles entered into eternal rest at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet on Thursday, September 7, 2023. She was 45 years old and a native of Boothville LA by way of Marrero, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She is the daughter of Perry Louis and Vanessa Taylor DeMolle. Chanel was employed at Circle Food Store, as manager with 9 years of dedicated service. Chanel was a family person who cherished and valued time spent with her family and friends. She knew the importance of laughter and enjoyed good humor. Sharing memories and stories of her younger years was important to Chanel, as she loved to reminisce of those fond memories. She was a graduate of John Ehret High School, Marrero, LA. Survivors include her husband, Anthony Miles originally of New Orleans; her son, Donnell Harris (Monesha Law); 4 stepchildren: Anthony Jr, Aneka, Gerald & Anthony III; two grandchildren, Donnell Jr. and Deshaun Harris; her mother Vanessa T. DeMolle; her siblings, James Collins (Denise), Shyhonda Jackson (Samuel), Perry L. DeMolle, Jr. and Cameron DeMolle; mother in law; Dorothy Miles; three sister in laws; Robin Miles (Freeman), Lucinda Miles (Daniel) and Raven Miles; 1 uncle: Steve DeMolle (Jeanine); 2 aunts: LaVeda Taylor (Juan) and Lori DeMolle; Godmother Theresa Finch; Godfather Haspel Taylor and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Donald Jr.; father, Perry L. DeMolle, Sr.; sister, PerriAnn DeMolle; grandparents, Melvin and Victorine Encalade DeMolle and Harding and Alma Tinson Taylor. We would like to give thanks to the members of Baton Rouge General Hospital – Bluebonnet and her Circle K family. Family and friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 736 North 35th Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the Rev. Paul Cooper will officiate the Celebration of Life service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation resumes at Saint John Baptist Church, 136 St. John Lane, Braithwaite, Louisiana at 10:00 am until service at 11:00 am on Saturday 23, 2023.
