Chad Peter Anthony Rodney Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Chad Peter Anthony Rodney, aka “Greedy Genyus,” beloved son, brother, father, a friend, was born March 13, 1986, and entered eternal rest Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the age of 36. Chad was born in New Orleans, La., to the union of Rebecca Weathersby and Robert Cameron Jr. Chad was blessed to have three boys: Chad, Chanyce, and Caron Rodney, and father to Shanyia Beverly. Chad was a fun, energetic, life-of-the-party type of person. With a significant influence in the music industry, Chad always strides to put others in positions to succeed. Chad was never afraid to seize the moment as a creator and a genius. A role model for some and a big brother to others. Chad always inspired people to believe in themselves, no matter the circumstances. He wanted people to know that they belonged. Chad preached that you are somebody and not to let anyone dim your light. Chad was the type of person with qualities that resemble a broker! He was a PERSONALITY that operated on a friendly wavelength (good vibes only). He was a rapper, entertainer, and music producer/executive, and he enjoyed working with people; he was innovative and always thinking about the next wave. Chad was educated in the Orleans Parish School system. He graduated from John McDonogh High School in 2004. Chad is survived by his mother, father, his siblings Jimmy, Keonda Weathersby, David Cameron, and a host of other relatives and friends. Greedy Genyus will be missed by all he loved and those who loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at D.W.
