On Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the age of 83, at Evangeline Oaks Guest House, Carl departed this life earthly life to gain his heavenly reward. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Carl Raymond Guidry was born on April 11, 1938, in New Orleans, son of the late Felix Guidry of Opelousas, LA., and Juanita Brazley Guidry of Pascagoula, Miss. The third of five siblings. Carl was married to the late Veronica “Beverly” Guidry and to that union two lovely daughters were born Carla J Guidry-Cruel (Dr. Larry Cruel), and Melina Guidry. He was preceded in death by his parents Felix Guidry and Juanita Brazley Guidry, his brothers: Roland Felix Guidry of Los Angeles, California; Horace Guidry of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; and Andrew Guidry Sr. of New Orleans, Louisiana. Carl Raymond Guidry leaves to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Carla J Guidry-Cruel (Dr. Larry Cruel), and Melina Guidry. his sister Juanita Guidry-Copeland of Phoenix Arizona, his grandchildren are Daytron D. Johnson, Kristin J. Bailey and Kristen Cruel. And great grandchildren Kaidence Johnson and Calais Johnson. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Attendance is limited and everyone is required to adhere to all restrictions.
