Alonzo Jefferson Jr. ("Zoe" "Lizard") beloved by family and friends, departed this life (far too soon) on Monday, January 17, 2022 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Alonzo was born August 16, 2004 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He leaves to cherish his memories father Alonzo Jefferson Sr. and mother Brandy Bourgeois, brothers; Deddrick Peters and Willie Varnado, sisters; Alonzaneka Peters and Breia Varnado, grandmothers; Alice Jefferson and Joycelyn Merritt Bourgeois. He was preceded in death by grandfathers; Edward Morris and Ronald Bourgeois, aunts; Azela Jefferson, Lula Jefferson and Thelma Jefferson, uncles; Robert Jefferson, Darrell Bourgeois Sr. and Albert Bourgeois, cousins; Derrick Jefferson, Deshone Warren, Monique Jefferson and Jada Richardson. He is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was in his junior year of High school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Alonzo was a loving and devoted son with a heart of gold and a smile that lit up a room. He was easy going and liked to laugh and joke around with his family and friends. He loved listening to music, watching movies and video gaming. The loss of Alonzo is devastating to all who knew him. He was a bright light that will never be forgotten and will forever shine in our hearts. Funeral services for Alonzo will be held at Gentilly Baptist Church on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Brown, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am.
