Alonzo Lewis Barnes aka Tootie, age 34, passed away on November 18, 2021. He was born on December 23, 1986 and was a native New Orleanian. He received his education from Carter G. Woodson Junior High School and Walter L. Cohen Senior High School. He was baptized at an early age by Bishop Paul S. Morton. When Tootie was younger, he enjoyed long bike rides to the park with his father. He is survived by his father Alonzo Smith, son Alonzo Griffin, paternal grandmother Anna Rose Jessie, siblings Johnny Barnes, Alondra Barnes and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Stacey Lynn Barnes, maternal grandparents Charles and Dorothy Shivers and paternal grandfather Stafford Smith. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral service at Rhodes Funeral Home 3933 Washington Avenue on Saturday December 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Visitation 12:00pm.
