Albert Joseph Luke Jr, departed this life on Thursday May 5, 2022 at his home in Avondale, La. Devoted father of Christian Lewis, Albert Joseph Luke III, Daniel Wire, and Christian Luke. Son of the late Albert Joseph Luke Sr. and Marian Linda Luke. Brother of Benjamin Luke (Neijha), Lisa Luke, and Undra Luke. Grandfather of Kash Luke, Kayden Luke, Fari Johnson and Lola Wire. The loving uncle of Rominy Luke, Benjamin Luke Jr., Shannon Clausen (Jasmine), Kaylyn Franklin (Raynesha), Tevin Clausen (Brittany), Timothy Luke and Marlon Moorer Jr. Great uncle of Tristen Clausen, Saniyya Clausen, Pharoah Clausen, Malia Clausen and Mekhi Clausen. Godfather of Ernika Pierre, Ty’son Pierre, and Guy Manning III. Lifelong friend of Andre Mitchell, Lenard Williams, Larry Stewart, Arnold (Bennie) Savoy, Samuel Veal, Willie Hamilton, John Andrew, and Deedy Puckett. He is survived by his Godfather Hollis Wilkins Jr. and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. For 55 years, Albert lived as a native of Avondale and New Orleans, La. He was employed at a young age at the Tchoupitoulas Plantation Club, experimented as a cosmetologist for a short term, worked as a collection agent, and then opened up his own agency (Jacob, Luke, and Stein). Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, May 20, 2022 at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, La. 70125. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M, until the service time at 10:00 A.M. Attendance is limited and everyone is required to adhere to all restrictions. You must wear a face mask at all times and practice social distancing.
