Winston Carter Jr.

Brother Winston Carter, Jr. entered into his heavenly father's arms early Friday morning November 8, 2013. A faithful choir member, retired veteran and also a former employee of Broh Brothers and Leon Godchaux Sugar Refinary for many years. He was the loving husband of the late Evangelist Hilda Mae Pearley Carter for 51 years. Brother Carter was born to the late Winston and Rosetta Holloway Carter, Sr. Father of Bryant, Sr. (Yolanda), Kim, and Winston Carter, III also Valencia (Michael) Johnson, Sr. Brother of Fredrick (Myrtle) Carter, Sr., Bernadine (Alvin) Phillip, Lurenza (Levy, Sr.) Sims, Virginia (Edgar, Jr.) Dennis, Olevia Reed, Mildred Thomas, and Elizabeth Williams. Devoted grandfather of 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Also survived by several devoted friends Charles Gibson, Frank Carter, Earl Augusta, Rickey Ellis, Archie Ellis, and Ronald Gray. As well he is preceded in death by sisters Victoria Bernard, Mildred Carter, Margie Moton, and Rosalie Wise. Calvary B.C., Tabernacle Church, Pilgrim Baptist Church of Paincourtville, LA., and St. James Methodist Church of Belle Rose, LA. Brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Phi Omega Chapter, Masonic Hall Phoenix 226, employees of BRC and Assoc., Cox Communications, Thelma's House of Beauty, Walmart, Impact Behavioral Health Services and Home Depot are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 10:00am on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Second St. John B.C. 242 Avondale Garden Road, Avondale, LA. Visitation: 8:00am until 10:00am. Pastor Charlie Davis, officiating. A dismissal service will immediately follow at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 266 US Highway 403, Paincourtville, LA 70391. Rev.
