Willie Landry Jr.

Willie Landry Jr. was born on November 28, 1956, in Independence, La. He passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2021, surrounded by his love ones. He was 64 years old. He is preceded in death by his father, the late Willie Landry, Sr., his mother Gertrude Scott Landry, his sisters Eula Grayer Talbert, Esther Landry Brumfield and Emma Jean Landry Johnson, his brother Johnny Grayer and his son Willie Landry, III. Willie is survived by his loving wife Antentine Starks Landry, his children Damion Terrell (LaMonica), Lonnie Morgan, Jr., Shandrell S. Lewis (Elliot), Donnell Starks, Sr. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Irelle Lee, Nya Terrell, Isaiah Lee, Damion Terrell, Jr., Semaj Starks, Antentine Lewis, Donnell Starks, Dash Powell and Tiara, Ashley and Elliot Lewis, Jr. With much love and affection, he is also remembered by his siblings Genlee Whitley (Margarette) and Vickie Landry, his Godchildren Herbert and Chastity Fisher and Joshua J. Devezin; his mother-in-law: Catherine S. Clark; and a host of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family of Mr. Landry would like to express their deepest appreciation to the Cardiac ICU Staff and Heart Failure Team at Tulane Hospital for their exemplary care during the final days of his life. These professionals went above and beyond for Mr. Landry and his family, and it is easy to see why they have the reputation for excellence. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Relatives and friends, pastors, officers and members of Household of Faith Family Worship International and Franklin Avenue Baptist Churches, also employees of Magnum Hospitality Group, Hilton Garden Inn, East Jefferson Hospital, the U. S. Postal Service, Quick Response Fire Protection, and the New Orleans Fire Department are invited to attend a celebration service honoring the life of the late Mr. Willie “Peter” Landry Jr. at Household of Faith Family Worship International, 2074 Paxton Street in Harvey, La on Saturday, July 10, 2021. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., service immediately following visitation. Interment will follow at St. Louis #3 Cemetery (3421 Esplanade Ave in New Orleans, La). Duplain W.
