Stephanie Harrell Williams

Stephanie Harrell-Williams entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 12, 2013 at her home in New Orleans, Louisiana. Stephanie is the daughter of the late Alfred Ephren Harrell, Sr. and Glenna Leslie Harrell-Burgess. Stephanie is survived by her son Maurice Anthony Williams, Jr., daughter Mia Saran Williams and former husband, Maurice Anthony Williams, Sr. Stephanie is the sister of the late Alfred Ephren Harell, Jr., the late Glenn Wellington Harrell, Stephen John Harrell, Sr., Alton Emmanuel Harrell and Garrett Harrell. She is the sister-in-law of the late Angel L. Harrell, Dianne T. Harrell, Deborah Henry Harrell, Kimberly W. Harrell, Terri L. Brown, Jeanne M. Chapman (Willie), Monique Williams Banks, Yolanda A. Williams, Rhonda E. Williams, Gerald M. Williams and Darryl J. Williams. Stephanie leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Stephanie is a graduate of Isidore Newman School, New Orleans, LA, Simmons College, Boston, MA where she earned a Bachelor of Mass Communication and Xavier University, New Orleans, LA where she earned a Master of Counseling. She was initiated into the Iota Citywide Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc., and is a current member of the New Orleans Alumnae Chapter. She is devoted member of the Mount Tabor Baptist Church and a former member of Central St. Matthew United Church of Christ, New Orleans, LA. Stephanie was employed with the United States Federal Probation Office of the United States Court System for twenty-three years where she served in several senior management positions culminating with her appointment on September 1, 2008 as Deputy Chief of the United States Federal Probation Office located in New Orleans, LA. All are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Dillard University Lawless Memorial Chapel 11 am – 12:30 pm, Rev. Dr. Ronnie M. Vinson, Pastor of the Mount Tabor Baptist Church officiating. Visitation is from 8 am – 11 am. The members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. New Orleans Alumnae Chapter will perform the Omega Omega Ceremony from 10 am – 10:30 am also at Lawless Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. Repast to follow on the campus of Dillard University at Kearney Hall from 2 pm – 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Mary L.
