Sidney "Routine" Bentley III

Sidney “Routine” Bentley III was born on May 15, 1971, to his loving parents Sidney Jr. & Audrey M. Bentley in New Orleans, La at Charity Hospital. He was the grandson of the late Sidney Sr, and Beatrice Bentley and Willie Sr. And Irene Brocks. He is a long-life resident of Phoenix, La. On Monday, April 8, 2024, at 9:04 pm he gained his wings and transitioned from his Earthly home to his Heavenly home. Sidney attended Phoenix High School. He was the loving father to Tyler Page and bonus father to Crayiona and Craig Jr. Alexis. Sidney was the grandfather to Delilah, Cruz, and Isla. He was the brother to Alicia (Darren) LaBranche, late April and Nakia (Gerald) Encalade Jr. Sidney was loved by his nephews Tyree Encalade, Joshua LaBranche, and Tyreke Encalade. Sidney accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 8 in 1979 at Zion Travelers Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Emmitt Summers in the Mississippi River. He worked as a laborer for Cirlot Company and Turn Services until his illness prevented him from working. In his leisure time he enjoyed shopping at Hobby Lobby, Ross, fishing, drawing on his tennis shoes and clothes. His favorite food to eat was red beans and rice with fried chicken, shrimps, or pork chops. Sidney was survived by his daughter Tyler (Justin), bonus children Crayiona and Craig, parents Sidney and Audrey Bentley, sisters Alicia (Darren) and Nakia (Gerald), nephew of the late Octavia (late Winston Sr.), late Willie Sr. (late Cynthia), Nathan, Terry (Jeanne), Myrtle, Clarence (Cynthia), JoAnn, and Carroll Brocks, Carmen (late Walter Jr.) Foley and Charles (Yolanda), late Leo ( late Gloria), James Bentley, late Betty Jean (late Alvin) Simeon, Diane (Rudolph), Brenda (Leo), Pamela Bentley the late Linda and Cynthia Bentley, Beverly Riley, Leona (late August Sr.) Picquet, and Sandra (late Pete) Phelps. He is the Great nephew of Vernon and Rose Mary Wrap. He is the God Child of Clarence Brocks and Lois Solomon. He was the God father of Taija Williams and Ebony Barthelemy. Sidney was a very STRONG, BRAVE, and COURAGEOUS man who NEVER complained about his illness or pain. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters and son, grandchildren, sisters, brothers-in-law, nephews, and other relatives and friends Craig Miller, Shandon Williams, and Samuel Hampton Jr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday April 20, 2024, at Zion Travelers Baptist Church,12661 HWY 15 Braithwaite, La 70040. The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Tyronne Edwards officiating, and entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Phoenix, La.
