Rodney Dean Glasper

Rodney Dean Glasper, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in Collierville, TN at his home. He is the son of the late Ed and Mary Knapper Glasper. He is the brother of Lonnie Glasper, Debra Hurst and Charlotte Banks. Rodney was a 1973 graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senior High School. Rodney is the father of La’Keisha and Rodney, Jr. Glasper, Bridget and Brittany Humphrey and Anthony Johnson. Rodney served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He received the National Defense Service Medal and a Marksman Badge. Rodney was a member of New Direction Christian Church under the leadership of Dr. Stacy L. Spencer in Collierville, Tennessee. His wife, Judy, children and grandchildren were the center of his joy and he thanked God every day for them. Rodney will forever cherish all of the love, laughter, memories and fun times we’ve shared together. He leaves remembered moments to his wife, Judy; his children, La’Keisha, Rodney, Jr. (Danitra), Brittany (Dexter), Anthony; his grandchildren, Dillan, Kaylin, Danica & Railey Glasper; Alex & Joe Humphrey; Ava and Ariya McCluster; Anthony Johnson, Jr.; his brother, Lonnie Glasper; his sisters, Debra Hurst and Charlotte Banks; his loving aunt, Eddy Tyler; devoted cousins, Terrance (Sue) and Wayne, Judy and Janice Tyler; a devoted neighbor, Joyace Rivers.
