Raymond County

Raymond County was born on January 6, 1949, to the union of the late Grace Brooks County and the late Stroter County in New Orleans, La. Raymond accepted Christ at an early age, and was also baptized. Raymond received his formal education in the New Orleans Public School System. Raymond worked various jobs for the city of New Orleans for over 40+ yrs. He loved being the leader of his landscaping crew for Parks and Parkways. He was an original member of the Calliope High Stepper Social Aid and Pleasure Club since the mid 80’s. Enjoyed hanging with his sons watching the Saints games. (A true Saints fan) He truly loved traveling to visit his daughters, who truly was the apple of his eyes.h Raymond County received his wings on Friday August 4, 2023 at the age of 74. He was proceeded in death by both his parents Grace Brook County and Stroter County, two brothers Lionel Robinson and Albert County Sr., one sister Barbara County Melton, one son Raymond County Trotter, one nephew Delton Williams Sr., one niece Gracelyn County, and one Godson Albert Williams. He leave to cherish his memory his children Michelle Burton, Kevin(LaQuatta) County, Tymica(Donald Sr.) Hurst, Tevince(Shadell) Forest, Patrice(Jerome) Foreman, Yeminjal and Archie Nicholas, Aaron Harris, Chris(Tammy) Cojoe, Willie Marshall, Shani(Robert) Southers. Devoted sisters Ava Washington, Mitchell and Debra Washington, Devoted brothers Larry Valentine, Harry Whitaker, and Percy(Ameko) Pierce. His grandkids: Ravon Burton, Dinate Trotter, Donald Hurst III, Rashon Morris, D’Vonte Hurst, Talaya and Taylynn Forest, KayCee County, Tayla Forest, Gralyn Burton, Eric Burrell, Monica Gibbs, Brittany Gibbs, Landon and Bella His Great-Grandkids Teari D., Mason M., Mazi M., Ryan H., Journey L. and was anxiously waiting on the arrival of his Great Grandsons (twins) Rhys and Ryler B. Devoted nieces LaTroya Williams and Daniella and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at D. W.
