Lisa Davis

Lisa Davis was born on February 8, 1962, to Lois M. Williams and the late Bernel A. Thompson Sr. Lisa is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and has lived in Harvey for many years. On March 25, 2022, she was called to Eternal Glory. Lisa was predeceased by her brothers, Bernel A. Thompson Jr. and Terrance (Steffon) Thompson. Lisa was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Progress Missionary Baptist Church by the late Rev. John Francis. She later joined Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church and stayed through the church’s transition to United Fellowship Full Gospel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully under the leadership of Bishop Tommie L. Triplett Jr. and now Pastor Brandon M. Boutin. Lisa was a devoted servant of the Lord; a licensed Minister and became an ordained Elder. She served as a lead servant of Pastoral Care, former Pastor of Intercessory Prayer, and many other kingdom assignments. Lisa's life was brimming with love, joy, and peace… But she has now taken her final rest, and her earthly journey is over. There will be no more sickness, pain, or suffering. Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Craig Davis Sr., and two sons, Craig (Busta) Davis Jr. and Brandon Davis and her loving daughter Taylor Davis. Her grandchildren: Craig (Trey) Davis III, Creagan Davis, Gavin Frazier and Marley Davis. Her Devoted Mother, Lois M. Williams, her Father and Mother in Love Arthur and Rosalie Williams. Her siblings Dwane’ Marie Edmonds (Dallas, TX), Kermit V. Thompson (Fort Worth,TX), Veronica Dunn (Houston, TX), Clifford (Jackie) Carr and Briscoe Carr. Her two Sisters in Loves, Tracey Davis and Gwen (Michael) Thomas and Brother in Love James Davis. Her Uncle, Dwayne (Linda) Toney (Atlanta, GA) three Aunts, Yvonne (Lee) Nelson (Tracey, CA), Maxine Riley and Jeanine McNeal. Her nephews Keith Jefferson, Darrell Thomas, Preston Wright Jr., Michael Thomas Jr., DeSean Thomas and Ashton Wright. Godchildren Darrell Thomas, Kai Cotton and Averial Thomas Jr. and a host of relatives, friends, neighbors, and her beloved UFC Family. A Celebration of Life honoring Lisa Thompson Davis will be held at First Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1829 Carondelet St, New Orleans, LA on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 10:00AM.
