Leonard D Brown Jr

Leonard D. Brown, Jr. was affectionately known as “LB” and “Lil Leonard”. He entered into eternal light on September 8, 2025 in Houston, Texas. He was born on January 2, 1973 to Leonard D. Brown, Sr. and Delois G. Brown (Jones) and was the beloved stepson of Bruce Jones. He attended Louis F. Schwartz Elementary, Edna Karr Junior High and Marion Abramson High School. Leonard was a precocious, intelligent and gregarious person who connected to others with his natural communication gifts and talents. His love and dedication to his family and friends knew no bounds! Throughout his life, his infectious spirit touched countless hearts, leaving an indelible mark. His gifts were apparent in his work as a sales consultant and was noticeably influential in the local hospitality industry. He was ubiquitous in that he sustained closeness with countless family and friends both near and far. LB will be fondly remembered for his fierce protectiveness of his sisters, generous spirit, infectious sense of humor, that haughty unforgettable laugh, and no-nonsense straight talk. The warmth that radiated from his soul was hard to miss. LB. treasured his brother-in-laws and together they shared many great times especially shooting pool. He willing gave his life to Christ and was baptized at The New Orleans Church. He leaves a legacy of love, cherished memories, and a heartfelt impact on us all. He leaves to mourn his parents Bruce and Delois Jones, his children Ariana Brown, Jacob Leonard Brown, and Lauren Brown. Siblings: Pastor Debra B. Morton (Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr.) Leonard Brown, Jr. (Alicia), Sharon B. Sterling (Merlin), Janice Lee (Tracy), Laverne Thompson, Ranard Brown, Arlene Davis (Kelvin), Darlene Swearington (Daris) and Javelle Ford (Marlon). He will be sadly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a litany of friends who were more like brothers. Though Leonard’s physical presence may be gone, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were blessed to share his life journey. We will keep his spirit alive! May our loved one rest in eternal peace until we meet again.
