Kenneth Wade Ellis

Kenneth Wade Ellis Sr. surrounded by his family in love and prayer, peacefully transitioned on June 11, 2022 at the age of 57. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 26, 1964 to the late Hezekiah Ellis and the late Mable Williams Ellis. Kenneth was educated in the Jefferson Parish school system. He was a certified Culinary Chef displaying his talents at some of the finest restaurants throughout the world-renowned New Orleans French Quarter. Kenneth’s Love for life was contagious and anyone he ever encountered was sure never to forget him. He was affectionately known to his family and friends as Juice/Cadillac. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, always making himself available to their every need. He enjoyed barbecuing (the best to ever do it), New Orleans Saints Sundays and fishing. Kenneth’s outlook on life was to always see the glass half full, even in his darkest days; he continued to focus on the light. He leaves a legacy for his loved ones of unconditional Love, Strength, Courage, and the Endurance to achieve all things through Christ. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye, with the peace of knowing his Spirit of love and protection will forever be upon us. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Kelisha Polk Ellis, four loving children: Ja’Vair, Kentrice, Ka’Lya and Kenneth Wade Ellis Jr, and one god-granddaughter O’Sani Sage Washington. He also leaves cherished memories with his loving siblings: Janet Clark (Dr. A.S. Clark), Marva Fluence (Gary), Terry Ellis Rodgers (Randy), Celestine Davis (Lawrence), Hazel Diggs, Scott Ellis (Dinah), Mark Ellis, Sisters-in-law: Marquita Theophile and Darilyn Jones Brown, brothers-in-law: Devery Polk and Sheldon Polk (Cressida), along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lillie Mae Ellis and Gail Ellis Carter and five brothers: Frank, Hezekiah, Michael, Eric, and Torrence Ellis.
