Kathleen Ann Williams

Kathleen Ann Williams entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born on December 9, 1948, to her loving parents, Everett and Janie (Keyes) Williams. Kathleen is survived by her brothers, Ronald (Marie) Williams and Freddie (Cheryl) Williams. She was preceded in death by five siblings: Shirley Richardson (Ned), Everett Williams Jr. (Melva), Alvin Williams (Opal), Mary Betty Williams (Charles), and Gerald Williams (Sedonia). Kathleen graduated from Xavier Preparatory High School in 1966 and went on to earn her degree in Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana in 1970. She later continued her education, earning her MBA from the University of New Orleans. Her distinguished pharmacy career spanned over 40 years, beginning at Schwegmann Supermarket. She also served her community through her work at Rite Aid and Walgreens. A devout Catholic, Kathleen loved and served Jesus Christ and the Blessed Mother throughout her life. She paused her professional career to deepen her spiritual journey by entering religious life with the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration (PCPA) under the guidance of Mother Angelica. There, she embraced a cloistered contemplative life devoted to prayer and adoration. Her strong faith led her on numerous spiritual retreats, novenas, and pilgrimages across many countries, where she offered prayers for those in need of hope and healing. Kathleen leaves to cherish her memory a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She will be especially missed by her closest friends, Lory Travers and Addie Villavasso, who were always by her side, as well as her friend, colleague, and classmate, Brenda Chappelle. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maria Goretti Church, 7300 Crowder Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 7, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. The Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Mausoleum, 4000 Norman Mayer Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70122.
