Farrell Gerald Porche II

Farrell G. Porche II was born on January 3, 1971 and entered into eternal rest on September 3, 2023 in New Orleans, LA. Farrell was born in Los Angeles, California. He was born to Farrell G. Porche, I and Barbara Sigur Porche. Farrell moved between Los Angeles and New Orleans early in life. At the age of four, he relocated to New Orleans where he attended First Assembly of God Elementary School. He moved back to New Orleans when he was 15 and attended John Curtis High School. He went on to complete his GED. After high school, Farrell decided to make New Orleans his home. Farrell had an uncanny ability to break down barriers and foster genuine connections with people from all walks of life. It didn't matter if you were a longtime friend or a stranger he had just met; Farrell treated everyone with the same warmth and open-heartedness that endeared him to so many. Farrell's love for his city was evident in everything he did. He connected with numerous people through his love for physical fitness and his work in the restaurant industry. He was known for his excellent serving skills at some of the French Quarter’s finest establishments: Antoine’s, Galatoire’s, The Court of Two Sisters, and Arnaud’s. Later in life, Farrell followed his dreams and started several entrepreneurial ventures: Porche Painting, and Porche Concierge. Farrell was a free spirit and loved to make everyone laugh. He was dedicated to the Lord at Avalon Zion Four Square Church in Los Angeles, California. His faith and his relationship with the Lord were very important to him. He was truly loved by his family and friends. Farrell will be missed immensely by his mother, Barbara Porche, his daughter, Kailye Porche; his siblings: Joi (Marc) Guillory, Kim Porche, Lorraine (Dylan) Weaver and nephews: Ryan Jordan, Brian Tenette, Gabriel Tenette, Dylan Weaver, & Dominick Weaver; nieces: McKenzie Guillory, Farrah Guillory & Liliana Weaver; aunts: Marie Porche Payne, Helen Porche & Ruby Sigur Frederick; uncles: Rodney Porche (Barbara), Kenneth Porche (Connie), Ray Porche (Valencia) & Clyde Louis Sigur; a devoted family friend, Sara Cipros; and, by a host of cousins, family members and friends. He was predeceased in death by his father, Farrell G. Porche I. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in his honor on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave., New Orleans, LA 70125. A visitation will start at 8:00 AM followed by a homegoing service at 10:00 AM. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. Arrangement by D. W.
