Dennis Hugle

Dennis Hugle was born May 8, 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of the late Herbert Hugle, Sr., and Ola Mae Slade Hugle. Dennis was educated in the New Orleans Public School System and accepted the Lord and was baptized at an early age. Dennis was, by trade, a Laborer and worked for Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans and the Orleans Parish School Board. In 2004, he was united in holy matrimony to Cynthia Marie Steward. For nearly 18 years Dennis and Cynthia shared their lives and love. Dennis was a devoted husband, a loving and caring father, and a friend. He was previously married to Jacquelyne Wilson Spencer. He recommitted his life to the Lord and was baptized a second time after Hurricane Katrina in 2006 at Trinity Christian Worship Church in Mesquite, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Archie Greer, where he served faithfully as a deacon until relocating to New Orleans in 2015. Dennis was a faithful member and deacon at Abundant Life Church NOLA. When he turned 65, in 2018, he retired from Walmart. On Friday, March 25, 2022, Dennis answered the call of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and departed this life at the age of 68. He leaves to cherish his memory - his loving wife Cynthia Hugle, his two sons; Dennis (Bianca) Hugle, Jr. and Troy Lee Hugle, Sr.; his daughter Sherlitia Hugle; brothers Elroy (Carolyn) and Clarence Hugle and sister Jerbette Hugle. Dennis is sadly missed by his stepchildren; Channel Clivens Atkins, Clyde (Kimberly) Brown, and Gerrelda Humphrey; his 16 grandchildren: Donique, Danielle, Dynisha, Dennis III, Troy Lee, Jr., Darrell, Devonte, Ashley, Turner, Chloe, Jaylinn, Elizabeth, Ava, Catherine, and Collin. 5 great-grandchildren; Zoey, Taylor, Lyric, Tyler, and Remi Michael; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; Herbert, Sr. and Ola Mae Slade Hugle; brothers; Herbert, Edward, Charles, Ronald, Darrell, George, Sam, Johnny, sisters Kim and Carol, and his daughter Ola Mae Hugle Robair. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Abundant Life Church are invited to a Funeral Service at Abundant Life Church, 9900 Hayne Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70127 on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10:00am.
