Channell Juliette Spencer was called home by Our Heavenly Father on May 11, 2021. She was born on January 2, 1984 to her loving parents Creighton Romeo Gibson and Irene Spencer. The word of God was instilled at a very young age and she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Knowing that God is Love, she was known for spreading affection, cheer, and love to all she knew. All that knew her would say she “Had a Heart of Gold.” Ms. Spencer was preceded in death by her Mother Irene Spencer, Grandmothers Mercedes Sneeze Spencer & Margaret Naomi Carter, Grandfathers Russell Spencer Sr & Peter R. Gibson Sr, Aunts Elaine & Gail Spencer and Carmelita Watkins, Uncles Bruce Sneeze, Charles Spencer, Chadwick & Peter R. Gibson Jr, and Cortland Caliup, Brothers Derrick & Eric Spencer, and Sister Brittany Spencer. Channell leaves us to cherish her five precious Blessings from GOD whom she Loved and adored...Her Children Ja’Naya Sarah Juliette Spencer, Derri-Nell Julianne Spencer, Israel Jacob Joseph Spencer, Joshua Romeo Spencer, & Isaiah Elijah Spencer. She also leaves her Sisters Genevieve Spencer Moore, Stacey Bibbins, Jamie Spencer(whom she affectionately called “Beautiful”), Una Spencer( whom she affectionately called”Fave”), Derrica Spencer(whom she affectionately called “beaux-beaux”) , and Brothers Willie Bibbins Jr, Russell C. Spencer Sr(whom she affectionately called “Tiger”), and Alden Johnson, her favorite Cousin Kendra Spencer (whom she affectionately called “KK”), Aunts Claire Wood, Beverly Spencer, Diane Spencer, & Regina Moore, Uncles Russell Spencer Jr and Tracy Williams, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral Service will be held at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, LA 70125, on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Due to COVID-19, everyone in attendance must wear a mask. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park, 10400 Old Gentilly Rd, New Orleans, LA 70127. Arrangements by D.W.
