Brandon Harold

Brandon "Golden Child" Harold transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the age of 25. Born in New Orleans, La. to Jane Harold and Sedrick Carter, he lived most of his happy life in Central City New Orleans, LA. and attended Holy Ghost Catholic School. He later graduated from (ADEP) Architecture Design Engineering Preparatory High School. Brandon was employed as a greeter in the New Orleans French Quarter. He was a New Orleans Saints fan and a man of God who always acted as the peace mediator between family, friends and community. His motto was, "Don't sweat the small stuff, look at the real stuff." He was a devoted father and inspired all he encountered. Brandon was active in many civic affairs especially mentoring youth and a grocery shopper for the elders in his community. He was a member of the What About Us community mentoring program where he has served as a youth volunteer and mentor. He was a leader and displayed attributes of a soaring eagle. He cherished his family and was an extremely proud father. He believed that loyalty toward family should be a lifestyle. He leaves to celebrate his legacy: His mother and father Jane Harold and Sedrick Carter, his beloved Grandmother Ethel (Williemae) Harold , his two favorite aunts: Margie Jackson and Delores Franklin, Godmother/Cousin, Enchante' Franklin, his 8 month old baby girl (Brailynn Blessin' Harold), daughter of (Alexis Harris), his loving companion Derriyon Crawford, his favorite cousins: Demetrious Jones, Leroy Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Danielle Sam, Darell Deal, Darren Deal, Demetrious Deal, Jasmine Dumas, Trinell Jackson, Demetrious Jones Jr., and many other distant relatives, cousins and friends. Family, friends and community are welcome to partake in the celebration of Brandon's life at Duplain W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:00am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.Interment: Providence Memorial Park.
