Eric Keith Henley

Eric Keith Henley at the age of 61 transitioned peacefully from this life on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Eric was born on February 8, 1962. Eric was the youngest son of Roosevelt and Evelyn Coleman Henley. Eric was baptized at an early age by the late Reverend Eli Wilson at Ora Vista Baptist Church. Later in life he became a member of Second Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Warner Fulton and was presently serving under the leadership of Reverend Colby Malone where he served diligently until he became ill. Eric loved his church and would do whatever was needed. He loved serving on committees, planning and preparing for church events, especially Men’s Day. Eric had such a big heart for people! Eric was a graduate of Alcee Fortier Senior High School in 1980. He was employed with the Federal Reserve Bank until he realized he loved to cook. He then worked in the Culinary Industry until he retired. Eric leaves to cherish his memory, Four Siblings, Derrick L. Henley (Cynthia), Alesia H. Brister (Terry), Katryna H. Theodore (Wilbert), and Angelle Henley; Five Nephews, Kevin Carter, Terry Brister Jr., Kory Theodore, Kyrell Theodore, and Derrick Morris; Six Nieces, Jawanna Knight, LaTisha Henley French, LaToya Carter, April Henley Hampton, Ashley Brister Smith, and Ariel Brister Joseph; Four God-Children, Ashley Brister Smith, Trevalta Jackson, Reanna Franklin, and Renae Franklin; Great Nephews, Great Nieces; Great-Great Nephew; Eternal Friend and Brother to, Treva Jackson, Rose Franklin, Vera Brown; and a Host of Other Family and Friends. Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Evelyn Coleman Henley; Grandparents, Robert and Fannie Henley; Jonas and Virginia Carter; Siblings, Adra H. Carter, Samuel Henley, and Manuel Henley. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Homegoing Celebration at 10:00am on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Second Bethlehem Baptist Church, 3016 College Court, New Orleans, Louisiana 70125.
