Dispatcher

We are currently seeking a qualified and professional individual to provide administrative support and assistance as a Dispatcher at our Claiborne office location.

General duties may include monitoring all equipment (limos) that are on services daily, post information on the daily master schedule, schedule drivers by calling them daily for availability, greeting customers, providing funeral and cremation information and other related topics and answering phones in a courteous and polite manner.  

Perform day to day administrative duties as required which may include:

  • Monitoring equipment when it is on the street daily

  • Monitor Layouts 

  • Post information to the Daily Master Schedule

    • Arrangement Sheets

    • 1st Call Sheets

    • Weddings

    • Car  Hires

    • Appointments

    • Viewing Times

    • Interviews

    • Make driver’s orders

    • Clearing 1st call book (twice daily)

  • Office duties such as operating a fax machine, filing 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of office equipment including copiers, printers, fax machines, telephones

  • Computer knowledge (Windows)

  • Proficient in Excel/Word software packages 

  • Basic accounting knowledge

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • High level of compassion and integrity

  • Problem solving skills

  • Ability to multi task

  • Detail oriented

  • Professional and team player who must be able to work well in stressful situations & meet critical deadlines

Work Schedule may include Saturday and Sunday.

Limousine Drivers

Limousine Drivers

Seeking Full Time drivers with excellent customer service. Drivers must have safe driving record  to meet insurance requirements. Previous commercial driving experience required. Schedule varies from morning, afternoon and evening.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include providing transportation to funeral home clients going to and from funeral services. We also provide transportation for guest going to dinner, weddings, meetings and other various events.

Qualifications and Skills

Customer Service makes the difference.

Must be punctual and detailed in work ethic.

Communication skills and positive attitude required.

Must Meet the following Insurance requirements:

Must have a class D Chauffeurs or CDL Louisiana License

Minimum 25 years of age requirement

Previous Commercial Driving Experience

Receptionist duties - Answer phones, Distribute Messages, Contact owners by Cell Phone if not in Office regarding messages daily.

Clear the first call book with Front desk on Washington Ave.

Ensure at least 1 person of each family/group entering building sign-in using sign- in sheet, identifying purpose of visit.

Cleared 1st call book.

Request any documents you are missing – communicate with manager if you are not receiving documents after requested. 

Fax Ship-in flight information sheets w/ deceased account # to Washington Ave. for check for airfare. 

Act as Funeral Director Assistant for all arrangements in building for day. (including but not limited to: - Type obit, Provide draft of D.C., Confirm case is completely input in to TDAW, verify insurance, gather claim forms, complete claims envelopes, confirm worksheet is generated for prep staff. Confirm all items are ordered if director has not done so) Do not allow service to go on or jacket to leave building for audit without confirming all of the above are complete. – Communicate with manager if your efforts are hampered.

Complete Books, Bags, and Boards for Services, 2 days prior to service

Confirm service checks are printed, signed, and in hand to be placed in service envelope at least 1 day prior to service, absolutely before Bag and Case leave for Presentation viewing. Communicate with manager if this does not take place.

Receive, collate, release documentation for Cremations. 

 Keep Inventory of service and office supplies. Complete Prayer cards when requested.

Maintain First Call book, Number Book, Arrangement Book, Schedule. 

Ensure Desk is maintained in a neat fashion throughout day.

Confirm new sign in sheet is generated at end of each day, Old sign in sheet is to be placed at bottom of stack on clipboard.
